Get the most from your WarmByte
Everything you need to set up, use and look after your WarmByte, plus answers to the questions we hear most. Charge it once, set your temperature and eat hot food anywhere.
The screen shows your selected temperature in °C. The white light shows the unit is powered on.
Getting started
Quick start
- Charge the lunch box fully before first use. A full charge takes about 4.5–5 hours, so charging overnight is easiest.
- Lift and open the pressure relief valve.
- Open the upper cover and put your food in the stainless steel container.
- Close the upper cover.
- Close the pressure relief valve. Keep it closed while WarmByte is heating.
- Place the container into the host body.
- Long press the power button to switch WarmByte on.
- Press the power button to choose a temperature between 30°C and 80°C.
- Optional: long press the timer button, then select how long it should heat: 30, 60, 90, 120, 150 or 180 minutes, or 4 hours. If you skip this, WarmByte keeps heating until you switch it off or the battery runs out.
- When you are ready to eat, lift the pressure relief valve to let the steam out, then open the lid.
Want to keep two foods apart? Place the removable partition in the container before you add food.
Never put water or food directly inside the host body. Only use the stainless steel container for food.

Power
Battery life and charging
Approximate continuous runtime on a fully charged battery:
| 30°C to 70°C | 4+ hours, depending on the temperature you choose |
|---|---|
| 80°C | About 2 hours |
Tested with a fully charged battery. Actual runtime varies with food quantity, starting food temperature, room temperature and battery condition.
Charging and storage
- A full charge takes about 4.5–5 hours with a 10W (5V 2A) or higher phone charger. Charging overnight is easiest.
- There is no need to keep it plugged in while heating. Once charged, WarmByte runs entirely on its built-in battery, so you can unplug it and take it anywhere.
- Charge with a USB-C cable and any phone charger or power bank rated 10W (5V 2A) or higher. The adapter is not included. Lower-power chargers and laptop USB ports will take much longer.
- Charge fully before each use, and charge promptly after use.
- If you will not use the box for a while, charge it fully before storing it. This prevents battery depletion.
- A low battery should be recharged within one month.
- A fully charged battery should be topped up within three months.

Safety precautions
Read these carefully and follow them. They are here for your safety.
- Charge only with a USB-C cable and a charger or power bank rated 5V 2A (10W) or higher.
- Place the product on a stable surface while in use.
- Do not touch the heating element directly while the product is in use. It gets hot and can burn you.
- Keep the inner and outer surfaces clean, and wipe them after each use.
- Do not immerse the product in water or let liquid flow into it during cleaning.
- Do not heat it empty. Running it with no food inside will shorten its life.
- Do not disassemble, repair or modify the product yourself. Only professional repair technicians should do this, otherwise there is a danger of fire and electric leakage.
- This product is intended for use by people aged 7 years and older.
WarmByte is not leak-proof
This is by design. Keep the pressure relief valve closed while heating, and lift it to let the steam out before you open the lid. Thicker meals work best. If you carry gravy or dal, fill the container with room to spare and keep the box upright.
Disposal of the built-in battery
Do not remove the battery yourself. When the product reaches the end of its life, hand the whole unit to an authorised e-waste collection point, or contact us and we will guide you.
Care
Cleaning and maintenance
Washable parts: stainless steel container, removable partition, inner lid and upper lid
Only these parts can be washed with water. After each use, remove any leftover food, add a small amount of water and a mild dish soap, wipe with a soft cloth or sponge, then rinse with clean water two to three times. The stainless steel container and both lids are dishwasher-safe. Do not use corrosive cleaning agents, gasoline, cleaning powder, hard brushes or steel wire balls on these parts.
Host body (wipe only)
The host body, heating base and control panel house the battery and heating electronics. Never wash them, immerse them in water, rinse them or put them in a dishwasher. Wipe them only with a damp cloth.
Lunch bag
The lunch bag is machine washable. Let it dry completely before you pack the lunch box in it.
After use and storage
Let the lunch box cool down before cleaning, and unplug the charging cable if it is connected. If you won't use WarmByte for a while, clean it as described above, charge it fully, and store it in a dry, ventilated place away from moisture.

Help
Common questions
How long will it heat on one charge?
About 2 hours at a continuous 80°C, and 4+ hours between 30°C and 70°C, depending on the setting. Charge fully before each use.
How long does it take to charge?
About 4.5–5 hours with any phone charger or power bank rated 10W (5V 2A) or higher. We recommend charging overnight so it is ready for lunch.
Will a fast charger charge it faster?
No, but it is fine to use. WarmByte charges at its own fixed speed, so any 10W or higher charger, including 33W or 67W fast chargers, gives the same charging time.
Does it need to stay plugged in while heating?
No. Once charged, WarmByte heats entirely on its built-in battery, so there is no need to keep it plugged in. Charge it, unplug it, set your temperature and take it anywhere.
Do I have to set a timer?
No, the timer is optional. If you don't set one, WarmByte keeps heating until you switch it off or the battery runs out. Set a timer when you want it to stop on its own.
Can I keep two foods separate in the container?
Yes. WarmByte comes with a removable partition made of 304 food-grade stainless steel. Place it in the container before adding food, or take it out when you want the full space for one dish.
Can I heat soup or other liquids?
Thicker meals work best, because WarmByte is not leak-proof. If you carry gravy or dal, fill the container with room to spare, keep the box upright, and lift the pressure relief valve to let the steam out before you open the lid.
Can I wash it in water?
Only the stainless steel container, the removable partition, the inner lid and the upper lid can be washed with water, and the container and both lids are dishwasher-safe. Never wash, immerse or rinse the host body. Wipe it only with a damp cloth after it has cooled and the cable is unplugged.
I will not use it for a few weeks. What should I do?
Clean it, charge it fully, and store it in a dry, ventilated place. Recharge a low battery within one month and top up a fully charged one within three months.
